Highlights from the Boot!
Over the past few months,
IWM has showcased the highlights of Italian
wine with classic producers, benchmark
vintages, quintessential artisans, and
the essential wines of summer as well
as tackling the Brunello 1999 hype. Today,
we are recapping the collection in assorted
six packs and cases with a few new additions
including Giacosa, Conterno, Pio Cesare,
and Dipoli. It is a great opportunity
to experience and learn the range Italy's
wines have across grape selection, vintage,
producer, zone, and style.
For more information on reserving your allocation
of these selective wines or if you would
like to receive consultation, please contact
our Perry Porricelli at 212.473.2323.

be sure to cellar these two Barolos from
Piemonte's last Mohican, Bartolo Mascarello.
Each has received exceptional praise and

Experience Barolo
2000 in Two Styles
The critics have labelled this
the greatest vintage of all time; IWM believes
it is another exceptional year in a streak
that dates back to 1996 and extends to 2001.
For many producers the verdict echos the response
of Piemonte legend Bruno Giacosa, who calls
the 2000 ripeness and concentration of the
vintage, the best ever; for others it is the
structure of 1996 that makes it superior. This
a great way to experience the range this noble
grape has across producer and zone from both
traditional and modern producers.
Traditional Style:
Bruno Giacosa 2000 Barolo $79.50 (750ml)
Aldo Conterno 2000 Bussia Soprano $62.00 (750ml)
Pio Cesare 2000 Barolo Ornato $93.00 (750ml)
Modern Style:
Sandrone 2000 Le Vigne $114.00 (750ml)
Clerico 2000 Barolo Pajana $64.95 (750ml)
Scavino 2000 Barolo Carobric $87.00 (750ml)
IWM Barolo 2000 Six-Pack (6) $500.45*
IWM Barolo 2000 Case Sampler (12) $990.98*

Barbera -
More Than a Pizza Wine
It's not just for pizza
anymore. The king of food wine is now en
vogue. Barbera displays various personalities,
from the classically simple and fruity
to the dense and more extracted modern
style. With its tooth-jarring acidity,
high alcohol, low tannin and lush fruit,
Barbera is an ideal food wine that will
stand up against anything you throw on
the barbie. No other wine has the versatility
that can cut through tomato sauce but complements
a steak just as nicely.
Hilberg 2000 Barbera d'Alba $45.33 (750ml)
Scavino 2000 Barbera d'Alba $32.00 (750ml)
