Famous and Still Great!
Ciacci
Piccolomini

 |
A Brunello di Montalcino Icon:
In 1985, Giuseppe Bianchini
began his quest for quality. Moments after the passing of Countess Piccolomini,
Giuseppe
learned that he, the sole employee who passionately cared about her vines,
inherited the vast Piccolomini wine estate. Evidence of his appreciation
and commitment
to the Piccolomini legend can be found in the glass – each wine is a tribute to the gracious Countess. Highly regarded palates consistently rank the Ciacci Piccolomini wines in the top 10th percentile – with good reason. Giuseppe believes his strict adherence to sustainable growing practices has significantly contributed to the vibrancy of fruit and the depth of complexity in his wines over the years. Without doubt, these wines speak of flawless quality and exhibit Tuscan typicity crafted in a modern style. Here is your first chance to purchase the estate’s
latest releases.

Brunello - Pure Sangiovese
Brunello Pianrosso 1999
Montalcino's most sought-after Brunello! Lush berries, dried lavender, briars and smoked bacon. Slides like silk across the palate. Full-bodied, the ripe tannins and medium acidity shape this wine into an elegant package.
$56.00 750 ml
$118.00 1.5 L
Brunello Riserva 1997
Lively aromas of cassis liqueur, anise and dark chocolate. Unctuous, yet already showing layers of complexity that lead into a sustained finish. Superb harmony. Head and shoulders above the other Riservas of the vintage.

Fabius 2001 - 100% Syrah
Simply put: massive. Voluptuous and complicated, this Syrah is low in quantity and high in demand. Cassis, bramble, smoked game and spice. Thick in body, texture and concentration. This wine will drink well for 5+ years, but its explosive, youthful character is hard to resist right now.
