Jermann

Vintage Tunina 2001 $49.00

Quite possibly Italy’s greatest white. This blend, primarily made of Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Picolit, garners accolades by the bundle every year. Beautiful aromatics are delivered in a wine that impresses with its lush character backed by judicious acidity.

Pio Cesare

Barolo 1998 $52.00 Barolo “Ornato” 1998 $75.00

These Baroli are fruit-forward and well-made, with fine tannins that don’t scorch your palate. The straight Barolo shows earthiness and plumy fruit highlighted by ideal acidity. The Ornato is broad and mouthfilling, with toasty oak that allows the intense berry fruit to shine on the long finish.

Fattoria dei Barbi

Brunello di Montalcino 1997 $43.00

The 1997’s are powerhouses for sure, the unusual warmth and sun of the vintage making the wines so striking. Rich, ripe fruit abounds on this Brunello, with all the structure that makes this style of wine develop so beautifully with time.

Santadi

Terre Brune 1998 $43.00

From the rugged hills of Sardinia comes this compelling Carignano. Certainly one of the best and most famous wines from this island, there is an abundance of dark fruit aromas and flavors, balanced by fine structure and a long finish.

Querciabella

Camartina 1999 $73.67

This producer’s high altitude vineyards create a very full-bodied Super Tuscan packed with floral aromas. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese, here you find the classic power of Tuscany, wrapped in an elegant, balanced package.
