“Per Bacco, Ragazzi!” Encourages
Young Wine Drinkers
A new
campaign in Italy has put out a questionnaire on wine that attempts
to build a profile of the ‘under 30’ wine consumer.
This program made its first university stop in Sardinia, where
a convention was held that included free and guided tastings
and ended with a musical grand finale; participants were invited
to join “Viniadi,” the Olympiad of Non-Professional
Tasters. The tour of Italy’s campuses is now well under
way, and numerous renowned Italian experts have given lectures
and lessons for the eager students. Some days even include specialized
education on regional or local wines, adding a personal flair
to the event.
The slogan of the campaign encourages young Italians to “Drink
little, in order to drink well, every day.” Also important
for the campaign’s association with universities is the motto, “Drink
well in order to think well.” Further information about the
campaign, as well as the integral wine questionnaire and a link to
the Viniadi site, can be found at www.vinoegiovani.it.
