About the Producer:
The biggest
private producer in the Vino Nobile zone, Fattoria del Cerro was
sold by the Baiocchi family to the Saiagricola group in 1978. The
vineyards were replanted, and modern ideas and techniques revived
both vineyard and cellar, placing Fattoria del Cerro among the
leading producers in the rejuvenation of the zone. Now overseen
by celebrated enologist Lorenzo Landi, the estate makes wines noteworthy
for their marvelous extraction.
